BPM-X Designer provides standard Microsoft Visio® with templates, smart shapes and consistency checks that enable users to create a company-wide, consolidated process model.

A modelling method - such as BPMN, EPC or UML - is imposed upon the Visio® users, which provides consistency and an end-to-end flow across the process diagrams. BPM-X Designer ensures that the resultant process flows are compatible with BPM-Xchange, and can be integrated with other modelling tools, such as ARIS, Nimbus Control 2007, MEGA, System Architect and Corporate Modeler.

The sample below shows an EPC swim-lane being drawn in Visio using BPM-Designer. The user has attempted to connect an 'Event' to an 'Event', which is not allowed within this modelling method.
